Majestic Mirage Punta Cana

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana

Why We Recommend This Resort:

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana is a luxury all-inclusive resort on Bavaro Beach, widely considered the Dominican Republic’s, and one of the Caribbean’s, most beautiful beaches.

It is the quieter, classier section of the Punta Cana Majestic Resort complex. It has eight restaurants (six of them a la carte), a range of bars, at least one of which is usually open 24 hours, daily entertainment, numerous free activities, an enormous lazy river, a swimming pool, a lovely stretch of beach (though the beach can get busy), spa facilities and access to the nearby Punta Cana Golf Course.

It is a calm resort with a relatively upscale vibe. We find it more mature and exclusive than the other two Majestic Resorts next door (which you have access to), or most Punta Cana all-inclusives for that matter, which can be quite raucous affairs.

Families are welcome but it doesn’t have many child-focused facilities or activities on-site, but again you have access to their more child-friendly, and livelier, sister resort, Majestic Colonial Punta Cana, next door.

This resort is more suited to adults overall. Nonetheless, it also has a separate adults-only ‘Mirage Club’ section, which is a little more expensive and exclusive with its own pool, lounge areas, and butler service.

How Are the Rooms & Suites at Majestic Mirage?

The accommodation is comprised entirely of suites, 511 in total. They are spacious and luxurious and come kitted out with all sorts of modern hotel amenities: large-screen satellite TVs, Nespresso machines, minibars, 24-hour room service, etc.

They also all come with some nice outdoor space, be it terrace or balcony, with a jacuzzi/hot tub.

They range in size from the huge Family Suites which can house up to six to more romantic, intimate one-bedroom suites, including swim-up.

Intimate or not, all of the suites are notably spacious, and elegant and chic. They definitely feel a cut above most all-inclusives in Punta Cana, or anywhere else for that matter.

They are divided into Standard and Club accommodation. Club gives access to separate VIP pool and lounge areas which serve a la carte food and drink and have their own live entertainment.

Club also gives a range of nice perks like personal butler service and unlimited free golf at the Punta Cana Golf Course, and is worth the upgrade in our opinion.

These Club options can either be adults only (Mirage Club) or all ages welcome (Family Club).

What Things Are There to Do at Majestic Mirage Punta Cana?

There is a gorgeous sand beach to be enjoyed here, though it can get busy. You also have a huge lazy river-style pool at the resort. There are eight restaurants to choose from, two of them buffet, the rest a la carte with food that includes Japanese, French, Italian, and American Steakhouse.

They have daily and nightly entertainment around the resort, live music, and theater shows. The nightlife on-site is relatively low-key for a large all-inclusive but there are a few good bars including a sports bar which is open 24 hours.

There is also a disco a few minutes walk away, shared by all three Punta Cana Majestic Resorts and open until around 4 am.

You have tennis courts and a gym here, spa facilities, a casino that is part of the broader Majestic complex, and free access to the nearby Punta Cana Golf Course.

At the golf course 1 free green fee is automatically included for guests staying a minimum of 5 nights while those staying in Club accommodation have unlimited access.

Non-motorized water sports including kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, etc. are all included with a range of motorized sports also available for extra fees.

Some Guest Reviews:

“First, AMAZING staff, welcoming, attentive and always looking to help make your stay memorable. Special thanks to Esmelin, our beach butler, he went out of his way to make our kids experience amazing. Modern huge rooms, great food (bit repetitive in the buffet) and a great experience all in all. Food at Japanese (especially the teppan), Italian and steak restaurants is very very good! Did not care for the French one particularly (you need a reservation and it is adults only), food is rather underwhelming and place is hot. Cafe and 24 hour fast-food joint are good, excellent desserts at the cafe, regular to good food at the fast-food place. Bars are very well stocked, especially the one in the lobby, and bartenders will do their best to accommodate your drink preference. Nighttime shows are well organized and produced, and we all (kids and adults) enjoyed them very much. Would return here in a heartbeat!.….”

“Our Yearly Trip! The staff: Jose Jacobs, Cesar, Devers, Rafi, Elvira Tehani, and Anthony have amazing customer service skills. Thank you for making us a priority and being awesome people. The food was awesome. Thank you to all the waitstaff and cooks. The numerous shows and activities nightly keep you engaged and happy. I recommend it to all couples looking for a vacation to destress and live a little…..”
