Breathless Resort is an adults only all inclusive on Punta Cana’s Uvero Alto Beach that has been a very popular choice with young visitors since its inception in 2013. It’s a luxury resort – though technically a 4 Star it can certainly outdo many 5 Star resorts – and it has the consistently strong reviews to back that up. There have 750 bright and colorful suites here in total but even in high season it really never feels too packed. The resort covers a large area so everyone has plenty of space and its stretch of beach at Uvero Alto is nicely uncrowded. Among its many facilities are various swimming pools, whirlpools and a lazy river, full spa and gym facilities, numerous bars and restaurants, both buffet and a la carte, a theater, a casino and daily and nightly entertainment. The junior suites come with a view of either the gardens, the pool or at least a partial ocean view, while the master suites are all oceanfront. On the lovely Uvero Alto Beach lies a fairly new addition to Dominican Republic’s collection of resorts – the adults only Live Aqua Resort. It is a 5 Star Punta Cana all inclusive that is more than a step ahead of the competition in this ever popular Caribbean vacation hotspot. The food, the service, the facilities, and the design and decor all consistently impress and, with it being a relatively small resort, the atmosphere is more personable than most. It sits on the lovely Uvero Alto Beach, a quieter more relaxed stretch of golden sand than those nearer the center of Punta Cana. Accommodation: Aqua Live has a broad range of very elegant rooms and suites including swim up, with luxury amenities that include private infinity pools and jacuzzis. All have some outside space, either a terrace or balcony, and they are generous in general with space – their smallest rooms are around 500 square feet, not all that much less than the largest suites which are around 860 sq ft. Live Aqua is a reasonably small resort but you have a very good selection of quality food venues. Your choices include Liberi, their main restaurant and breakfast spot, it serves a broad range of international dishes both buffet and a la carte. Then there’s Sospiro, their relatively casual Italian a la carte.
