Resort Category: All Inclusive Resorts for Families
The resort can be busy and lively but, apart from the odd pocket here and there, it’s not a party resort by any means.
Facilities include a luxury spa a great choice of restaurants and bars, many pools including an infinity pool, kids-only and adults-only pools, a theater and daily and nightly entertainment.
There are 591 rooms and suites in total. None are particularly spectacular, luxurious or stylish – even their highest level suites – but all of them have minimum standards and these standards are very high.
The furniture is quality, the beds extremely comfortable and all come with plush bathrooms, some of which have whirlpool baths.
Other facilities include air-con, Nespresso coffee makers, iPod docks, minibars, seating areas and spacious balconies, some with ocean views, and 24 hour room service.
Some suites are swim up, and some have separate bedrooms and lounges to sleep a maximum of six per unit.
Club Room guests have free access to the laid back exclusive Club Lounge which is supplied with premium liquors, light bites, snacks and desserts.
Food, Facilities & Things to Do:
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has a great variety of food on offer from casual street food to high end fine dining, only two of which are buffet and one which opens 24 hours.
All food and drink is all inclusive and none of the restaurants need a reservation. Highlights include Bon Vivant, their upscale French offering and DoZo their Japanese.
Drinking venues include a swanky piano bar, a lively sports bar and pool bars. There are nightly theater performances as well as live music and other daily entertainment.
The resort is family friendly and there have a constantly busy kid’s club and a separate club for and teens.
The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Zen Spa is a particular highlight. They have 18 treatment rooms, and hydrotherapy pools, though all treatments are outside the all inclusive package.
There is a very good gym here as well as volleyball, tennis and basketball courts. Other free activities include water aerobics, yoga and dance classes.
As is the case with most hotels in Los Cabos, the beach at Hyatt Ziya Los Cabos is sadly not swimmable though they do have a huge pool section.
The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is about ten minutes drive from the lovely town of San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos part of the local area’s hotel zone.
As mentioned the stretch of beach in this part of Los Cabos is not swimmable. Probably the nearest swimmable beach is at Costa Azul, five minutes farther down the coast.
Cabo San Lucas is a half an hour’s drive from The Hyatt Ziya with Los Cabos International Airport about 20 minutes.
