Why We Recommend It:
The all-inclusive, adults-only, Sandals Grande St. Lucian is another solidly good Sandals resort with a range of accommodations from top-of-the-range overwater bungalows to decent value more basic suites.
The overwater bungalows, the only ones in St. Lucia and one of just a few in the entire Caribbean, take center stage here.
They are a honeymoon favorite and, with only nine of them, they get booked up long before the other suites and rooms.
The service throughout this resort is excellent: professional but personable. Their food and drink are of the highest order and there is a huge amount of all-inclusive activities on offer.
Rooms & Suites:

They have a nice range of accommodation at the resort from, at the top of the price range, the Overwater Bungalows, Beach, and Presidential Suites to a number of very good value lower level suites.
Their gorgeous overwater bungalows are very special of course but, despite their price, also incredibly popular. If you’re interested and you see one free for your dates you’d be wise to book it immediately.
We like the beach suites a lot too though. They might not have the same novelty value but they are pretty special in their own right. They are just steps from the beach but nicely positioned to feel private and relatively secluded.
Lower down the scale you can, depending on your dates, you can find some very good value at Sandals St Lucian. Even their lowest-level suites seem indulgent.
All will be spacious and airy and come with hardwood floors, comfortable king-size beds, large smart TVs and generously stocked free minibars, etc., etc. Some suites have large, spa-style bathrooms with soaking tubs for two.
You’ll have 24-hour room service, and in some suites, you have the services of a personal butler.

Food, Facilities & Things to Do:

Sandals Grande St. Lucian has twelve restaurants and bars which include a British-style pub and a very lively swim-up pool bar. Check them all out here. The quality of the food and drink is impressive and there is daily and nightly entertainment around the resort.
It being a Sandals they have their Red Lane spa facilities at guests’ disposal, a fitness center, a giant swimming pool, and a mile of pristine sand beach.
You can also enjoy many complimentary water sports such as scuba diving, water skiing, snorkeling, wakeboarding, and windsurfing, as well as on-dry-land activities such as beach volleyball, tennis, bocce ball, mini golf, croquet, yoga, etc. etc.
Grande St Lucian guests also have free access (via shuttle) to the facilities – Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Halcyon Beach, the former having a golf course.
Resort Location:
The resort is located by the scenic Rodney Bay, on a thin strip of land leading to the Pigeon Island Peninsula.
Within easy reach are the towns of Rodney Bay, Gros Islet, and Castries, and excursions can be organized to some of St. Lucia’s most famous sights: the Gros Piton, Soufriere Volcano, and the Toraille Waterfalls for example.
Hewanorra International Airport is around an hour away with complimentary transport supplied by Sandals.
Some Guest Reviews:
“Amazing – highly recommended. The resort was amazing, being a larger property there was plenty of room. We had a lovely quiet spot on the beach well away from the hubbub at the pool (which was also fun occasionally). Service was great and the food amazing. Full credit to the reception staff, bell boys and gardeners….”
“We LOVED our week here! Staff are INCREDIBLE! Everyone is in love and happy. The food is great. The drinks are great. The tours are so much fun and well organized. The entertainment is brilliant. Would recommend to ANYONE for an incredibly fun honeymoon/ anniversary/ birthday etc…..”
